I’ve put together a list of 60 tunes that have stuck with me through the years, inspired by Jeffrey Canam (@GrahfMetal)’s Twitter rundown of his top 100 favourite video game tracks. I’ve attempted to limit myself to a couple songs per game, but there are exceptions.

One of the recurring tropes in the Fire Emblem series is recruitment music that plays whenever a new character joins your team. A lot of the characters are optional teammates, and some that start as enemies have specific recruitment criteria in battle, so getting a powerful new ally is exciting. And this track is HYPE AF. Any song that makes you want to cheer aloud at a turn-based RPG is something special.
